No. I tried. He hits harder than HH + live vicariously can keep up. Plus you don't do anything for dmg without grenth taking him down most of the way.

I had the build you are talking about for farming melandru's as well. I just went and changed over to necro, grabbed grenths from dragon's lair, and picked up 5 swords today.

You can always switch back... it is definitely easier to pick this sword up than to pick up chkkrs pinchers.

You only kill him when he's holding the sword. Killing him everytime is asking for anti farm to set in. You will know when anti farm is in effect, he's holding wicked blade, you kill him and get nothing.

Like others, im havin some probs gettin the sword to drop, while other ppl have incredible luck. Ive run to Sskai about 100+ times, and he has had the sword about every 20. I have only killed him when he is holding the sword and never when he does not have it, but he has never dropped anything for me. Not even white weapons, he doesnt drop at all. This is purely anecdotal, but I typically try to rotate through several areas to do my green farming. I almost never go to the same boss more than 10 times in a row regardless of whether he drops or not. I seem to have decent results with this getting drops from all the bosses I farm. (Usually 1 in 5 runs nets me a green.)

If I were you I'd go farm something else (or a lot of somethings) for a good while before I tried getting this sword again.

BTW: They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I was told that after the update last night Sskai holds the wicked blade skin everytime now. It doesn't drop everytime however. Ran and checked him out a couple times myself and it does indeed show him holding a wicked blade every run.

Have fun guys no more easy swords off him.

Anet's update on 6/1/06 nerfed the whole farming green scene. I bet it's something they never mentioned but it is true, you do see the boss with the weapon in their hand but now it doesn't guarantee that you will get the sword. I don't understand why Anet did it, but I've been selling those Sskai sword for as low as 10k to newbs who don't have a lot of money in the game. So now the price of greens are gonna go up because of this.

What will happen now is that we will keep killing the boss and expecting a green drop. But if you kill the boss many times, not get the drop, and then keep doing it, you'll get "the anet special tip notice" that the drops will lessen because of repeating the same thing over and over.

Why they need to keep this a secrete to us? Seriously anet, why not mentions it in your updates.

Just to let you all know, Sskai's Unique Sword has a dark pink handle. The regular Wicked Blade that he holds has a beige/tan handle. That might be something to watch out for.

He uses the following skills:
Empathy, Deadly Riposite, Sprint, Signet of Midnight (E), Price of Failure, Empty skill slot, Diversion, Healing Signet.

Weird skill bar, as you use Inspiration, Domination, Strength and Tactics.
